Sir,
It is really baffling that though the GDS committee submitted its report on 24.11.2016 to the administration, it did not supply a copy of the same to this union which is the lone representative organization of the GDS employees. The GDS committee on the other hand sent a message to this union that a copy of the report will be supplied to the union by the postal administration. But despite our repeated endeavours, a copy of the report has not been supplied to us. This has caused deep concern, anxiety and resentment in the GDS employees.
It needs not be over emphasized that this report, as has been the precedent that all reports of pay commissions and GDS committees are not only supplied to the concerned employees, but made largely public, cannot be treated otherwise. The denial of supply of a copy of the report to the union raises serious doubts.
We, therefore, request you kindly to supply a copy of the report to us within a week. Further denial of the report will generate tremendous pressure on us to decide course of direct action.
This may kindly be treated as urgent.
