Sir,
The
bonus ceiling for all employees and workers has been raised from Rs 3,500 to Rs
7,000 with effect from bonus for 2014-2015 for employees and workers and it
implies that the same include G.D.S. employees as well. But it has been learnt
that some quarters are trying to misinterpret it. Historically the G.D.S.
employees (formerly E.D. employees) have been getting the bonus under the same
ceiling as the departmental employees except for a short period after the
report of Sri Nataraja Committee which gave a discriminatory report with regard
to the bonus. This created severe concern and dissatisfaction among the G.D.S
employees who were ultimately given their due in the year 2013.
The
bonus ceiling of G.D.S. employees was raised to Rs 3,500 at par with
Departmental employees vide dt letter No. 08-04/2012-SR dt 27-09-2013. Thus the
wroag created by Sri Nataraja Murti Committee was righted. The lettr no.
08-04/2012-SR clearly says that the bonus ceiling of the G.D.S employees has
been “at par with the departmental employees”. This continues to be so. There
can be no reason what-so-ever for not applying the bonus ceiling for G.D.S.
employees at par with departmental employees at this juncture. We understand
that the confusion crated in this regard is without reason.
We
have every confidence that your goodself will not allow any injustice to be
perorated against the G.D.S employees. But orders not mentioning or being
simultaneously issued for G.D.S. employees has been creating severe confusion
and misgivings. Bringing the bonus ceiling for G.D.S. at par with departmental
employees is a conscious decision of the Government of India is absolute.
We,
therefore, request you kindly to get orders issued immediately bringing the
G.D.S. employees under bonus ceiling of Rs 7,000 to clear the clouds of
confusion and misgivings.
We
are going for our all India conference from 17-09-2016 to 19-09-2016. It will
be highly appreciated if the orders are issued before that.

venue/extension. It is in N.H-4 state
transport buses are available very frequently.

2. Trains passing by Londa,
Belgaum and Birur junction towards Bangalore will halt at Tumakuru. Those coming from Mumbai may alight direct at
Tumakuru.
